ABOUT CLEBURNE, TX
Welcome to the City of Cleburne If you are new to the area, let me assure you that you have made a good choice. Cleburne stands at the crossroads of an extraordinary opportunity. Today is where our rich history and heritage meets our future. The Chisholm Trail Parkway that connects Cleburne and Fort Worth with a thirty-minute drive affords small town living with big city access.
CLEBURNE WAS A CITY OF RAILS AND TRAILS. Once a stop along the historic Chisholm Trail, Cleburne was home to one of the largest railroad shops in the world. Today, you can visit our history in one of our many museums, but Cleburne is more than just a historic stop. Today, Cleburne boasts a wide array of culture. You can take in a play through the Plaza Theater or witness a production through the local Carnegie Players, hear a variety of jazz at Songbird Live, enjoy outdoor concerts at Market Square, take in the vistas along one of North Texas’ best municipal golf courses (don’t forget to try North Texas’ best golf course burger), or just relax in one of our many parks. And there is more to come.
CLEBURNE IS A GREAT PLACE TO RAISE A FAMILY.
Like many others, I chose Cleburne because of the quality of life and the great schools. The CISD was nationally recognized and rated one of the top Texas schools for its academic advanced placement program. Our neighborhoods are quiet and friendly. A simple trip to the grocery store requires additional time to catch up with neighbors and friends. Some say American cities aren’t what they used to be. They haven’t been to Cleburne.
CLEBURNE HAS A LOT OF ENTERTAINMENT TO OFFER.
New retail, dining and entertainment will soon arrive at Cleburne Station. And you can catch a professional baseball game at the Depot at Cleburne Station. 2017 marked the return of professional baseball and defense of the 1906 Texas League Championship won by the legendary Tris Speaker and his Cleburne Railroaders. The Depot is one of the most unique professional baseball stadiums in America with its railroad theme and intimate setting. The Depot will also host concerts, tournaments and events throughout the year. Thank you so much for listening to what Cleburne has to say. I believe our city has something to communicate to people of all walks and stages of life whether you are raising a family, visiting, or looking for a nice place to retire. Please consider Cleburne when making that decision. Allow me to extend a sincere invitation to share my hometown with you and your family. There is room at the table whether you are visiting or choose to become a part of the family. Feel free to pull up a chair and make yourself at home. It is always a great day in Cleburne, Texas. Or as we like to say... CLEBURNE, THIS IS TEXAS.
